Today's message is about the spiritual battle and the power of praise when it's rooted in humility and sacrifice. In some Christian circles, spiritual warfare can manifest in strange ways, but the heart of effective spiritual battle lies in genuine humility before God and respect for His ways, not in spectacle. Humility involves approaching God on His terms, while true praise is anchored in sacrifice—remembering Jesus' covenant on the cross and following His example of self-denial.
The story of Abijah’s battle against Jeroboam in 2 Chronicles 13 illustrates how spiritual victory is grounded in alignment with God’s will. Despite Abijah’s own flaws, he stood on the foundation of covenant and worship, which brought victory even when outnumbered. Likewise, our strength in spiritual battles comes from relying on God's covenant with us through Jesus, not from our own merit.
