How do you love someone with purpose?

The idea I'm trying to convey is that God has a plan and a purpose for each one of us; and that even though He loves us as we are right now (unconditionally) He loves us too much to leave us that way. He's working in our lives. Eph 2:10 says we are His masterpiece. That's pretty incredible.

How can we love each other that way?
